Mortgage Borrower

Mortgage borrower, mortgage loaner or mortgagor is a term which describes a person who obtains a loan in return for giving interest in his/her property, real estate or land to the lender. Mortgage loaners are usually individuals who want to purchase a real estate, property or land but do not have enough money.

Many people throughout the world do not have any other option than to become a mortgage loaner if they want to purchase a real estate. For many people it is very difficult to save enough money to purchase a real estate and paying a rent for an apartment or a house at the same time, while in some countries monthly costs for rent of an apartment or a house are even as high as monthly repayment of a mortgage loan. However, besides individuals who want to become home-owner there are also other reasons for becoming a mortgage loaner such as investment in real estates, tax benefices, etc .

However, everyone can not become a mortgage loaner. In many countries mortgagees require certain financial or credit history of the person that applies for mortgage loan, while before approving a mortgage loan the lenders usually also require from the borrower to make a downpayment, a contribution of certain portion of the value of the purchased real estate or property. Thus the individual who wants obtain a mortgage loan usually has to have certain amount of saved money and confirmation of regular incomes otherwise his/her application for the mortgage loan might be rejected.
